I read in the first article, that our Thomas Edison of this generation has died and I think that is the best way to put this sad loss. Steve Jobs was a genius, and he was a fantastic guy. He worked hard and believed in what he was doing. I personally love Apple products, they are so simple to use. When I was given the choice to pick out my very own phone I went straight to an IPhone, even though blackberries were very popular I loved the way the IPhone felt and the big screen on it. And even now that the galaxy has come out with a bigger and tougher screen, I will still stick to the IPhone. Steve Jobs was a mastermind at making products that the entire world wants.
ReplyDeleteSteve Jobs contribution was great to society because It taught us to think outside the box. He made a lot of kid's lives fun and enjoyable because of his creations to technology. I think he was a great person for doing what he did.
ReplyDeleteI think Jobs was very important to the people he worked with at Apple. The comments about his death show that. However, I also think from the rest of these articles that he wasn't the greatest person in spite of those comments. He was known for deceiving his friends and running away from parental responsibilities. He definitely is a brilliant man for starting Apple and making it what it is today. He is a college drop out who really didn't have anything going for him. Even though he has some qualities that make him look like a bad person, he is very smart and has changed the world with Apple and Apple products.
ReplyDeleteSteve Jobs was a man who knew his products and wanted everyone to know that he designed it had an impact on it and was involved in the making of it. He never let anyone try to change what he created. he took the name he put his whole life to seriously. He never let anyone else use his trade mark. Jobs was a man that was always involved in his business and always wanted to up what they had created. Once his passing, three years later emails came up; apparently this was something a CEO should not do, email people. He didn't care and stood behind is product. This man showed great honour in what he created and his time on earth came short. If he was still alive today who knows what he would of created.
ReplyDeleteWhen it came to his e-mails and people saying he was blunt, I realized he is a normal person. A lot of people try to act a certain way in front of other people but he was himself through it all. I think he was a genius when it comes to technology. The article that talks about what Steve Jobs taught someone was something I think is right. I agreed with every one of his examples. He has changed society a lot. The mass amounts of iPhones and iPods are because of him. I think he will be forever remembered by just that alone. I didn't know he had a big part in Pixar and Disney. That is something I learned about him.
ReplyDeleteTo me, Steve jobs is an inspiration for development in the technological area of our society. All though i hate Apple as a whole, I still think that he was one of our founding pioneers. His advancements and inventions of the computers and other leading software have allowed society to grow from his ideas and allowed us to have a starting to point in which we can all grow from. For example Kindle Fire, Galaxy Tablets, and etc... I think that had Steve Jobs not pursued his dreams, society as we know it would be very differently. I could imagine that we would still be in the development stages of early computers and phones. Those are a few of the contributions I feel that were provided by Steve Jobs.
ReplyDeletewhat i think of him is that he was the co founder of the apple computer company and people really liked him. Another thing is that he shows people a few things what to do in their life.
ReplyDeleteSteve Jobs was a very interesting man with a lot of money. To be honest, I didn't even know he died three years ago. He suffered from cancer and passed away at such a young age. Steve Jobs created so much technology and that's why he is a billionaire. When Pixar sold for 7 billion in 2007, Jobs was the 110th richest man on earth. He would even begin making much more when Apple was introduced. Mostly everyone knew that he was a college drop out because he is making billion a year. Most people that invent or create new things and make a ton of money usually are college drop outs.
ReplyDeleteTechnology is big now that's all people care about now. and if you ask me it's all because of Steve jobs. If he didn't come out with the iPhone there wouldn't be all these Apps that we have today there are over a million Apps. Steve jobs made there people come out with bigger and better he made it a battle between Apple and Samsung. all because of Mr. jobs we have some of the best technology.
ReplyDeleteSteve Jobs has been an inspiration to me and always will be. I think that a lot of us can relate to him and the perseverance he showed himself and the rest of us. If it wasn't for him our lives would be completely different. He shaped modern technology and did it with a sense of drive that we all could learn from. Something that we learn from Steve and which we should learn from every other successful person is that it is ok to fail. with out failure we can not be successful in whatever aspect we are looking to strive in. He has changed all of our lives and can help us learn how to better ourselves in a motivational way.
ReplyDeleteJobs literally shaped our world of technology. Reading those emails he sent off, yes I agree he was blunt. Some of them were pretty funny actually. Reading through the comments from people on the Apple website, truly shows his impact on the world. You would never guess that this successful man has the background he has: Adopted as a baby, had a daughter that he denied for awhile, and he dropped out of college. Jobs is a great man that everyone will know and remember forever.
ReplyDeleteSteve Jobs was a genius! The fact that he shaped our technological world and is still shaping it is crazy to think about. He created one of the biggest computer companies in the United States from his garage back in 1976. He was a great self made man. Without his involvement and control in Apple, Apple probably wouldn't have sold ass many iPods, iPads, iPhones as they did. It was crazy to think about when one of the articles said that Steve Jobs owned 4.47 Billion in Disney Stock. He was a self made man and a great role model to look up too.
ReplyDeleteSteve Jobs profoundly changed the way of the technological area with his passion and creativity. He was the best at what he did. He gave us the mac book, iPhones, iPods, and iPads, he changed the way we use technology nowadays. And he a big part in helping Pixar and Disney on designing their animated films. Those I feel are some of his contributions.
ReplyDeleteI believe steve jobs was a very self motivated individual, I mean he did start apple from his garage. He had a product and system that he believed in and he didn't stop until he was a success and that is highly admirable. I think that his contributions to society are huge in the way we communicate with people and around the world if you want to. He has effected technology and the way we use it on a global scale. I think steve jobs was a confident guy not a cocky guy, I think he believed firmly in if it wasn't yours don't try to take it or take advantage of that. Steve jobs will go down as being one of the most famous names in the technology world.
ReplyDeleteI don't really know a lot about Steve Jobs. I didn't really following his career, or him as a person. I do know what I have heard through the media. He was a huge impact with the company apple and created the first I phone I believe. His death was truly sad. Many Americans were effected and moved by the passing.
ReplyDeleteWhat really strikes me about Steve Jobs, is that besides being the visionary, everyone admired, he was an unafraid entrepreneur. His motive to expand technology worldwide, and keep the “value” of his product was kept by his lack of fear thinking out of the box, and searching for the unconventional ideas.
ReplyDeleteThe value that he gave to the apple product made a big change in social implications, as people understood that it’s not about paying cheaper but paying for a valuable product. That’s what I believe made Job unique and powerful in the technology market.
I think Steve Jobs is so influential in all of technology throughout society. He is a head man in starting up Apple. I like that he doesn't change the way he is just because someone likes or dislikes him. He knows so much about what he is doing and was always busy improving his product. I really didn't know he died three years ago. I'm glad we did this blog because I learned so many new things about this very influential man.
ReplyDeleteFrom the reading of these five articles, it sounds like to me that Steve Jobs was one of the mot influential people of his time. His passing comes with great sadness. His role in Apple was a fierce, dominant, and high pressured personality formed Apple like it is today. Many people that worked for him felt very pressured but understood it was only for the greater good, to make the best products in the market which is technology. He was never afraid to experiment with new innovations to his products and constantly pressured his Apple experts to bring forth new ideas, this is what shaped Jobs and Apple as the leading technology based company in the world.
ReplyDeleteThere is no denying that Jobs was an extremely influential person. But I have never personally liked what he created; I liked the tech that he indirectly help create(Zunes, Android Phones). Without him technology would be where it is today, but his software vision seemed lacking. Mac and iOS are both very strict and closed making them less than customizable. In the end, I appreciate what he has done to for today's tech but I'm more of a PC.
