This is the official site for the 9/11 Memorial. You can plan a visit, look at the memorial or museum, get involved by donating, and there is also teaching plans a teacher could use. I think this website is awesome. As a country we all band together after something like this happens. As a citizen here, not everyone has the chance to go visit the memorial or museum, but on this website you can literally take visual tours.

  2. 9/11 was a drastic changed in our country. Why in the world would people do this to innocent people? It is just a sad thing to think about and hopefully something like this doesn't happen again. In 9/11, there were about 3,000 people that were killed including 400 police officers and firefighters. Its just amazing that these 400 people risked their lives to save the innocent people that were suffering. "September 11, 2001, was the deadliest day in history for New York City firefighters: 343 were killed"....

This article is about the daughter of a firefighter who died in the 9/11 attacks who has just finished firefighting academy in order to follow in her father's heroic footsteps. She said it was the memory of her father that kept her going, without him she would have quit.
